Skylanders Spyro's Adventure is an Action-Adventure game spin-off from the Spyro series designed for younger players that unlocks a whole new game universe while incorporating a unique gameplay mechanic utilizing more than 30 physical action figures that synch with consoles, creating a controllable in-game representation of that figure. The first release in the Skylander series, Skylanders Spyro's Adventure Starter Pack contains three action figures, an exclusive game peripheral as well as other items. Action figures are compatible with all versions of the game. The game features co-op and competitive multiplayer, mini-games, dual PC/Mac compatibility and more.

The Skylanders Story
For generations, the Skylanders -- a diverse group of mythical creatures, each with their own powers, personality and tendencies -- have used their magical powers, weapons and levelable battle skills to protect their homeland, the Skylands. But now, an evil tyrant with the powers of a portal master has frozen and banished them to Earth. Only you, a portal master yourself, can physically put Skylanders on the Portal of Power -- a conduit between this world and theirs -- and bring them back to life in their world where they can battle to save Skylands forever.
Action Figures with Brains
Skylanders are special physical action figures that come to life in-game. Just take a Skylander, place it on the included Portal of Power, which is synched to your game console and a representation of your chosen Skylander will come to life in the video game and do your bidding. There are over 30 Skylanders in total - each with unique abilities and powers (three are included in your starter pack). Skylander action figures remember their in-game experiences and upgrades as they explore the mysterious world of Skylands, battle menacing creatures and collect treasures. Conveniently, it doesn't matter what gaming system your friends have at their house, the Skylanders work on and across all major video game systems. That means that you can take your Skylanders over to your friend's house, drop them on their Portal of Power and your Skylanders will come to life in the game.

New adventure from the writers of Toy Story Academy Award-nominated Toy Story feature film writers, Joel Cohen and Alec Sokolow, penned this dynamic story-driven adventure, where players take on the role of a powerful Portal Master, who can control over 30 different characters, including the beloved fire-breathing dragon Spyro. Players will embark on a fantastical journey into an amazing mysterious world, where they will explore mythical lands, battle outlandish creatures, collect gold and treasures, and solve interesting puzzles on a quest to save their world from an evil Portal Master known as Kaos.
Over 30 unique collectible interaction figures There are over 30 different interaction figures to collect and bring to life. Each one has its own unique in-game personality, powers, and abilities. Additionally, each is classified by one of 8 element types (Earth, Air, Fire, Water, Life, Undead, Magic, and Tech), which also will impact what your character can earn or unlock throughout the game. With over 30 unique characters to bring to life, kids can play the game again and again, each time having a different experience.
Toys with brains Each interaction figure can remember shared experiences and leveled-up abilities. This allows players to personally customize and power-up their characters, as well as take their interaction figures on-the-go to bring them to life on a friend’s ‘Portal of Power’ for co-op play and player-versus-player arena battles.
Play with your friends Players can join forces by placing two interaction figures on the ‘Portal of Power’ at the same time. As they play together, players can drop in and out throughout the level with as many different characters as they would like. Different strategies will come into play as players use their favorite characters to tag-team against certain obstacles, hazards and enemies throughout the game.
Battle your friends Battle your friends in a classic player vs. player battle mode, which provides a selection of different game modes and arena maps where players can face off to become the ultimate Portal Master. Use your army of interaction figures and their leveled-up abilities to defeat your friends in this head-to-head competition!
